Life in the UK Test Prep ("the app") is published by Shinrai Dynamics Private Limited ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information the app handles and why.
Your progress stays on your device
Your quiz history, scores, mistakes, bookmarks and settings are stored only on your phone. They are never uploaded to us or anyone else. Uninstalling the app, or using Settings → Reset all progress, deletes them.
The app has no accounts, no sign-in, and does not ask for your name, email, contacts, location or any other personal details.
Anonymous usage analytics
To understand how the app is used and improve it, the app uses Google Firebase Analytics. It collects:
- App activity, such as quizzes started and completed, scores, which question topics are answered correctly, time taken, and screens viewed.
- Device and app information, such as device model, operating system version, app version, language, and approximate country (derived from your IP address, which is not stored).
- A random app-instance identifier generated by Firebase, used to count unique installs. It is not linked to your identity.
We do not collect the Advertising ID, do not show ads, and do not use this data for advertising or sell it. Data is processed by Google as our service provider under the Firebase data processing terms and retained for up to 14 months.
You can turn analytics off at any time in Settings → Share anonymous usage.
Children
The app is intended for adults preparing for the Life in the UK Test and is not directed at children under 13.
Not a government service
This is an independent practice app. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the UK Government or the Home Office. Official information about the test is available at gov.uk/life-in-the-uk-test.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
